Introduction
As a
follow-up to the Honor 6x, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei announced the
release of the Honor 7x. It boasts of a
better camera, a better processor and more RAM, compared to the 6x. The device
promises exciting features at an affordable price. It has a sturdy, all-metal
body, which makes the device robust.

Honor 7x sports a 5.9-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1920x1080 (~403
ppi pixel density). The primary cameras are a dual 16+2-megapixels with PDAF,
LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and panorama and can
record full HD videos at 30 fps. The secondary camera is 8-megapixels with LED
flash and can record full HD videos at 30 fps.
Hardware and Software

Honor 7x is powered by an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 670 processor with four
cores clocked at 2.2Ghz and four cores clocked at 2.0GHz. The Kirin 659 is
built on a 12nm manufacturing process, which makes it more efficient. It comes
with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage respectively, depending on the
variant. The internal storage can further be expanded up to 256GB via microSD
card. The battery is a 3,340mAh Li-pol unit, which is slowly becoming a
standard among most Chinese OEMs. It also features a rear-mounted fingerprint
sensor. It is expected to run Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box, customised
with Huawei's EMUI 8.0.
