Introduction and Performance

The Huawei Honor 8X is a mid-range smartphone which ships with dual rear cameras, a waterdrop-like notch, and a big battery. It is the successor to the Honor 7X which came out back in 2017. The 8X offers a premium outer shell that sports a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Its curved edges on all sides make it easy to hold. In terms of performance, Huawei's in-house manufactured Kirin 710 chipset ensures smooth and seamless sailing. The SoC is clocked at 1.8GHz and is bundled with 4GB of RAM to aid lag-free multitasking. 

Camera and Storage

For imaging and shooting videos, the Huawei Honor 8X hosts dual 16+2-megapixel primary shooters and an 8-megapixel front-facing lens. The front imaging unit is ideal for selfies and video calling, while the rear sensors can help in portrait shots with hardware-captured bokeh effect.. Storing images, videos, apps, and other data should not be an issue as the handset packs 64GB of internal storage space which you can further expand using a microSD card up to 256GB.

The Huawei Honor 8X is based on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and features a big 7.12-inch Full HD+ display. The screen on the smartphone sports a waterdrop-like notch which houses the front imaging sensor. The display is also protected from normal wear and tear by Corning's Gorilla Glass.

One of the appealing features of the smartphone is its big battery. The smartphone is fuelled by a large 4,900mAh battery which is touted to last for more than a day even under heavy usage. The device ships with a 10W charger which should top up the battery considerably quickly.
